Encourage people to bring old towels, rugs and toys to the  Shelter.

The main desire of both the Animal Control Officers and the League is to provide animals with comfort and caring. The HSV Animal Control services only HSV.  They do not answer complaints outside of the Village Gates. The animals at the shelter are ones either rescued, lost, abandoned, due to the owner’s health problems or the death of their owner.  Hundred of animals are placed in new homes each year by the Animal Welfare League.

All the animals available for adoption have been checked by a veterinarian, spayed or neutered, and, depending on age, given all the possible shots, including Rabies.  It is a State of Arkansas law that all pets are vaccinated for rabies.

Your single membership will help us pay for just one shot, so please help us if you can.
